Winged Daemon Prince Finished

I completed my January project for the 40k Fight Club 2011 Painting Challenge, a winged Daemon Prince. Not my best work, I was rushed in getting him finished before the end of last month and was up late Monday night finishing it. So I was not able to take pictures until last night. It turned out good, although I can see a lot of things I missed.

Nice!

I like the muted tone you've got going on there, though personally I would like to see some of the raised areas and the mask pop a little more.

I really like that DP model, just wish it was more easily poseable.

I have that model I prefer it to the plastic one, I even paid about the same price instead of the plaggy one!

Love the wing conversion, paint job is great - maybe add some glowy eyes to make it pop?

@sonsoftaurus: Thanks. My Blightlords are a splinter faction of the Death Guard, and since Mortarion did not like his marines decorating their armor, that is why I went with the muted tone. I will go back and pick up some more details. I agree on the poseability of the model.

@Mart: Thanks. Glowing eyes is a nice idea, but the eyes are far too sunken to paint them and with the angle of the head, it would be hard to see them. Besides, I really like the empty hollowed eye look. Looks more skull like IMO.

@loq: Thanks, I think the wings came out the best.
