Bad Moon Ork Warboss

I have completed my ork warboss. I think he turned out nice.

Next I am going to start painting my slugga boyz.

Lookin' good. I like the contrast of the purple against the yellow.

Thanks Adam. I like the purple contrast as well. I originally thought of going with red, but that seems to be done as a standard with orks, so I went some a little different.

In addition to agreeing with the comments on the paint (looking nice!) I like the conversions as well ... chain-powaclaw!! cool stuff!

Thanks Lord of Excess, but most of the credit for the conversion needs to go to the article in WD350. A really good article and a great source of inspiration.

slipwing,

you did a great job with the paint job as well as the conversions - i love the power buzz klaw. you have reignited my orky enthusiasm to start my own bad moonz army. but the only thing im not sure on is how to paint the armour-what clours do i use and how do i apply them. if you could respond to this with a another comment i would be very very grateful.

WWAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

@?bad moonz armour?: Thanks for the comments. For painting yellow, I have discovered that Iyanden Darksun foundation paint works best. I start with a black undercoat and have to put 2-3 coats of the Iyanden Darksun to cover it. Next paint it with Golden Yellow and highlight with Sunburst Yellow. Then wash with watered down Devlan Mud.

For the paint chips, I first paint the area with Dark Flesh, then I paint Chainmail in the area being sure to leave the Dark Flesh visible around the edges.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
